In honor of Bastielle Day, the kitchen staff decided to serve French dishes.

Their idea of what constituted a French dish was... certainly interesting.

The kitchen staff was still kind of freaked about the events of Sam's last shift when he showed up.

He rolled his eyes at them a lot and got the restaurant ready to open.

#43 Blueberry Hill was patriotic. There were red, white and blue streamers, balloons and sparkly confetti all over the place.

A large grill was set up in the backyard and Dick was even wearing an apron.

Sam was in a good mood when he arrived at work. Things were going well for him and Meg, they were getting a puppy this weekend and life hadn't thrown any real curveballs at him lately.

Poor Sam had no idea what he was in for today.

Taking over the management of the Leaf meant that Meg was in first thing Monday morning, setting up the shop. Since she was already familiar with everything, she knew it wouldn't be too hard on her. She'd gone over the paperwork Lana had given her, so was feeling confident that she was able to run the business.

Sam was at work and a little disconcerted by the fact that the kitchen staff seemed glad to see him. He wasn't sure exactly why, but they were babbling about scary women.

He shrugged it off and made sure the specials board was set for the day.

Sam was impressed that the kitchen staff had things well under control when he arrived today. They had gone with a local theme and today's special was Jambalaya.

It had been a while since Sam did any shooting. Hence the reason he was at the range with a lot of ammo.

Not that he would be adverse to conversations, of course.

Sam got to work and discovered that the kitchen staff was making soup for some bizarre reason. He cranked up the AC and rolled with it though.

It was a much happier Sam who opened the Coven today. He wasn't even drunk or hungover.
